While attending college I figure I have written more letters to family and friends than I have written papers for classes. While Palatino, Helvetica, Times, and a jillion other fonts look nice, they don't say, "Hi. It's me. I'm writing this. I care." Their tone is more, "HEY! I'm impersonal. This is a form letter. Who cares?" Since we all agree that writing anything other than a grocery list on paper is a modern day faux pas, I felt compelled to somehow bring a more personal touch to the letters I was sending home. Enter Rogs Hand (pronounced: Raw'-Jezz Hand).
History:
Rogs Hand (or for those of you who are grammatic-fanatics, Rog's Hand) is my first attempt at a font. It is far from perfect but does look good at most point sizes. The characters were scanned from samples of my handwriting, manipulated in Aldus Freehand, then imported into Fontmonger. The TrueType version of the font is the one I use. As a result the Type I version hasn't gone through as much testing. If you find any major problems, let me know.
